James Nathaniel Robertson

Obituary Date: Tuesday, April 30, 2024
Tuesday April 30th, James Nathaniel Robertson eternal resting place was declared ready and God transitioned him to his Heavenly home.
On August 22nd 1953 James became the 3rd child of the late Mr. James Robertson and Mrs. Beverly Robertson in Hampton Virginia. In 1969 Mr. and Mrs. Robertson moved to Dayton, OH. It is there James received his education at Cornel White HS. After successfully completing his education James started his professional career in the food industry.
July 3rd 1971 James had his first son Jevon. Now with a family James sought after a better life for them. October 1973 James join United States Air force. Where he began a successful career in the military. This will land him stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in the Washington DC /Maryland area. In January 1977 James would have his second son Jamal. After different assignments in and outside of the United States. He would be stationed back in Dayton, OH Wright-Patt Air Force base. While back in Ohio he would lay more roots and make more friends. In October 1994 he would retire from the military at Wright-Patt Air Force base.
In June 1995 James moved to Georgia to be closer to his family. He took on a career as a correction officer. As well joined the legion were he would then gain more brothers.
Chief’s Life’s journey has allowed him to gain an abundance of great friends. Chief always brought the high energy and life to any party. In a dark room full of strangers, Chief was the light and everybody’s new best friend. He possessed a magnetic spirit that people from all walks of life were drawn to. Chief showered his family and friends with so much love. His love language was jokes and food. James loved to read. I mean really enjoyed reading. He enjoyed fishing rather it by boat or land.
James Leaves to cherish his memory, his loving, awesome sons Jevon Robertson and Jamal Robertson; mother Beverly Robertson grandchildren Kaliffa Robertson, Jalil Robertson, Myla Robertson, Gabriella Robertson, Javen Robertson; Siblings Casey Lee, Joanne Allen, Ronald Robertson. He is now with his late great brother Martin Robertson. His companion Cheryl Smith. Cousins; Brenda Foster , Connie Wilson; Nieces and Nephews Clarence, Isola,Micheal Lee, Alexis, and DeShayla, He also now with his favorite Late nephew Marcus ; Daughters in-laws Christy Robertson, Anabel Robertson; Special relationships; Bennie Fitzgerald, Donald Allen, ,Todd Barrett, Jim&Ruby Dukes, Dave Cook, Walter Justice and much more friends and family .
We thank God for allowing him to let James light to shine in our lives. Rest in peace and love until we meet again.
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Hillside Chapel.  Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
